Donations As a non--profit organization, the Waccamaw Indian People gratefully accepts donations, which help support intra-tribal and outreach programs. Our tribe, which is chartered with the South Carolina Secretary of State, holds a 501-(c)(3) as a charity. Prospective donors may verify our tribal status by visiting the website for the South Carolina Secretary of State at www.scsos.gov. Click on "Charity Search" and enter "The Waccamaw Indian People." Doing so will verify our status as a legitimate, non-profit organization and will help spare you the unfairness of making donations to unauthorized entities. |

A Word of Caution:
If you are asked to make a donation to our tribe, always verify that the party receiving the donation represents a group that has non-profit status. Otherwise, the donation will not be tax deductible. |
